Therapy for people who spend a lot of their lives taking care of everyone else.

Oak House offers grounded, evidence-informed psychotherapy for people navigating trauma, overwhelm, relationships, burnout and the experiences that can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves.

THE STRONG ONE

You're usually the one who handles things.

You're the one people call. The one who keeps going. The one who knows how to stay calm when everything around you isn't.

But somewhere along the way, being the strong one can start to feel heavy.

Maybe you're carrying things you've seen, experienced or never really had the chance to process. Maybe you've spent so much time taking care of everyone else that you're not quite sure where you fit anymore.

WHO WE SUPPORT

Therapy for people who carry a lot.

You don't need a certain job title or a particular kind of story to belong here. But we have a particular understanding of what it means to be the person others rely on.

FIRST RESPONDERS

For those who are trained to respond, stay composed and keep moving - even when what you've experienced follows you home.

MILITARY & VETERANS

Support for navigating trauma, identity, transition, relationships and the experiences that can be difficult to leave behind.

HEALTHCARE & HELPING PROFESSIONALS

For the people who spend their days caring for others, while their own needs quietly move further down the list.

PARTNERS & FAMILIES

Because being beside someone who carries trauma can mean carrying some of it too. Support for the people holding things together at home.

THERAPY AT OAK HOUSE

Sometimes what we carry starts showing up everywhere.

In our relationships. In our sleep. In the way we respond to stress, connect with the people we love, or feel in our own bodies. Sometimes we know exactly where it comes from. Sometimes we just know something doesn't feel right anymore.

TRAUMA & PTSD

Experiences that continue to affect how you feel, think, respond or connect - long after the moment itself has passed.

ANXIETY & OVERWHELM

When your mind won't shut off, your body stays on alert, or keeping everything together is starting to feel impossible.

RELATIONSHIPS & CONNECTION

Navigating communication, disconnection, conflict and the ways our experiences can follow us into our closest relationships.

BURNOUT, IDENTITY & LIFE TRANSITIONS

When you've spent so long doing what needed to be done that you're no longer quite sure what you need.

OUR APPROACH

Therapy can be both safe and honest.

We believe good therapy doesn't have to feel clinical, intimidating or overly polished. It can feel like a real conversation with someone who know what they're doing - someone who will meet you with warmth and compassion, while also being willing to ask the harder questions.

At Oak House, we create space to slow things down, understand what's underneath, and make sense of the experiences that have shaped you. We're not here to tell you who to be. We're here to help you understand yourself more deeply, recognize your own strength, and move forward in a way that actually feels like you.

MEET ANNA

A therapist who gets the people who keep going.

I'm Anna, a Registered Psychotherapist and the founder of Oak House. I've spent much of my career working with people who are used to being capable, dependable and composed - even when there's a lot happening underneath. â€‹

My style is warm, straightforward and human. I'll make space for the hard things, but I won't just sit back and nod. We'll get curious about what's happening, make sense of where it comes from, and figure out what actually helps.

READY WHEN YOU ARE

You don't have to figure it all out before you reach out.

If you're wondering whether Oak House might be the right fit, we can start with a conversation.
